Infinite Errands Owner, Jan Gibson

Infinite Errands of Calvert County, Maryland was formed in 2007 by two Calvert County residents, Tracy Figliozzi of Huntingtown and Jan Gibson of Prince Frederick.  They had both personally experienced the demands of balancing a full-time career and raising a family for many years.  After much research, they decided that there was a real need in southern Maryland to help people balance these demands.  Their mission was to lend a helping hand to busy individuals and businesses.  Their goal was to provide their clients with more time to do the things they really want to do.  With over 20 years of customer service experience working for various IT companies and defense contractors and a genuine desire to help others, they left their current jobs and set out on their new adventure.

In 2011 Tracy accepted an executive position at a leading systems integrator.  At that time, Jan, a multi-tasker with attention to detail, became the sole owner of Infinite Errands.  She was born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area and has lived in the Calvert County area for the past 20 years.  She has served in a variety of positions throughout her career which included:  providing executive level administrative support, IT support and sales, and government contracting.  In addition, she regularly gives many hours back to her community.  She served as the online chair for the Relay For Life of Calvert County for several years, providing support to all the participants in this huge fundraiser for the American Cancer Society.  She served on the RFL committee for five years and was a team captain for six years.  She is a former board member of the Calvert Animal Welfare League and still an active volunteer for CAWL.  She has provided many hours of volunteer services to the Asbury Solomons retirement community, LUNGevity, an organization committed to ending lung cancer, as well as her church.  She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Friends of Calvert County Seniors.

In 2012 Infinite Errands was presented with the Home Based Small Business of the Year award from the Calvert County Chamber of Commerce. This award is given to one business in Calvert County for demonstrating high standards of ethics and business enterprise. The Chamber considers whether or not a business is recognized in their industry; if they demonstrate innovativeness and creativity with their product, service or management technique, and whether they contribute to community oriented projects; serving on boards, volunteering or contributing to charities, mentors others, gives scholarships and the like.

Located in Prince Frederick Maryland, Infinite Errands serves all of Calvert County as well as areas in St. Mary’s and Anne Arundel counties.

Jan Gibson closed Infinite Errands in May 2017 after she retired. She may reopen in Delaware after she locates!
